When you install Fuzzware it installs several example projects in the 'Fuzzware Projects\Examples' directory. Below is a list of the examples and some notes on them:
- 3GP - A movie format, by default the target application is QuickTime.
- ActiveX - An example project to fuzz the Adobe Acrobat ActiveX control.
- AVI - A movie format, by default the target application is Windows Media Player.
- BMP - The simplest example, input is a BMP file already converted to XML, output is to a directory.
- HTTP - A simple XSD that represents an HTTP GET or POST request.
- HTTP\HTTPPostParams - An example that uses the HTTP example but adds an XML schema for fuzzing POST request parameters.
- HTTP\HTTPPostXML - An example that uses the HTTP example but shows how to fuzz XML in a POST request.
- MOV - A movie file, by default the target application is QuickTime.
- MP4 - A movie file, by default the target application is QuickTime.
- PDF - The document format, an advanced example of converting a text based format to XML.
- PDML - An example of how to use a PDML file for fuzzing, the network packet is DNS.
- TLS - An involved example of protocol fuzzing (not supported in the UI), advanced users only.
- WAV - An audio format, be default the target application is Windows Media Player.
- WinRAR - An old version of the .rar format, still supported by WinRAR though.
- WSDL - An example WSDL fuzzing project, includes a Visual Studio solution containing a test Web Service.
- XHTML - The web pages in XML format, by default the target application is Mozilla Firefox.
- XPS\OPC - Open Packaging Conventions format (used by XPS), this example contains a custom input handler and a custom pre-output handler. The target application is IE.
- XPS\XPS - XML Paper Specification, this example contains a custom input handler and a custom pre-output handler. The target application is IE.
